Swede traveling the world

Wow it’s been a busy couple of weeks! So much happening in the office and at the same time a lot of planning to do before Christmas. Like an unexpected gift there is a bank holiday in Switzerland today…I’ll admit I’m not even sure what the holiday is for. But I gives me time to run to the gym, get my facial and send out the Christmas presents before Christmas!

Last week I spent working in London and also perfect timing as I had time to pick up some Thomas Pink shirts for my ❤️. He’s getting quite the collection as he’s also lost some weight due to my healthy living so I wanted to buy him some new tightly fitted shirts!

I stayed right on Leicester Square at Radisson Blu Hampshire while I was in London. I’ve never tried this hotel before but I’ll give it two thumbs up, nothing spectacular but nicely sized rooms and good restaurant!

Christmas market on Leicester Square

grilled fish keeps me on a healthy track even when its busy

Ops also did some shopping at Fortum & Mason

I went into Fortum & Mason as well and found a hat for myself that screamed MEEEEEEEE! Ok I overpaid but isn’t it gorgeous and super cute?

A me hat

And back in Amsterdam for the weekend Shoebaloo started their sale and what did I find…the Jimmy Choos I’ve been eyeing for a couple of months! Wohoo, a really extravagant weekend but it’s only Christmas once a year, right??

Kisses my friends!

Pan antiques and art fair is on in Amsterdam RAI this week. Pan is an annually recurring art, design and antiques fair. I went last night for a VIP borrel and I greatly enjoyed strolling around the different stands from all of the art galleries around Amsterdam. Personally I love a more modern art approach and I found quite a few beautiful pieces, but unfortunately the price didn’t quite match my wallet?!!

Tomorrow Amsterdam Light Festival also kicks off. It’s one of the most beautiful events I’ve seen in any city in the world I’ve visited. All around Amsterdam, primarily on the canals, there are art installations around the theme of light. This year’s theme is Water Colors, and if you find yourself in Amsterdam take a long walk in the evening around the Amsterdam Light Festival route, the walk usually takes an hour or two! Below are a few pictures from last years festival.

In the meantime wonderfuls have a relaxing weekend and give a kiss or hug to your loved ones?!

My recent health kick has naturally also had the effect that my ”passion for fashion” has been rekindled due to the very simple fact, I can wear whatever I want!

As Amy Winehouse sang…back to black is the overarching mantra of my closet. Below are a few of these past few weeks work outfits! Amusingly enough I’ve realized that because black is such a wearable color in Stockholm, I’d even venture to say it’s sort of a Stockholm uniform, I never realized exactly how much black I truly wear until I left Stockholm.

Below is today’s outfit, black dress from COS bought probably a year or so ago, paired with a pair of black shoes from Pasito in Zug. The Pasito shoes were an emergency purchase because my heels broke on the way to the office and no replacement shoes in my bag?!!

Next outfit up is the classic black dress pants from Kenzo, found them in a store called Centre Neuf in Amsterdam teamed up with a simple soft black turtleneck. Centre Neuf is unfortunately closing, but it’s truly one of my favorite stores in Amsterdam! This particular turtleneck is from Maruschka de Margot in Stockholm. Maruschka is an almost iconic store in Stockholm, filled with voluptuous furs, exclusive evening dresses and some of the best designers. Your wallet may take a hit so be forewarned?.

Laundry Industry is a Dutch brand that unfortunately no longer exists…but I just put below outfit in to prove I don’t ONLY wear black…on occasion I will branch out into the greys…

And the last outfit of the week, casual black boot cut jeans from Urban Outfitters. I found them in Austin Texas year ago, and I teamed them up with a silk blouse from MQ I found in Stockholm on my latest trip. Ok enough of the overload of selfies, but I do enjoy waking up in the morning and spending a relaxed morning with coffee getting ready for what the office has in store for the day!

If you’re also like me addicted to designer wear, whatever you do check out the Outnet! Quick delivery and great clothes at reasonable prices. Their app is great, and a fantastic selection of brands!

Stay fashionable out there?!

A blue week

The past few weeks I’ve been feeling less than energized. Some family problems, slow month in the office and a dragged out cold…so yesterday I was supposed to summarize how my year has been at work and I decided to pick myself right out of this miserable mood!!

Not only did I finish my evaluation, but I have myself a pat on the back for managing to almost learn a new language this year, lost 15kg of weight, start a new job and staying happy with my love at the same time!!

Have a fantastic Thursday and to celebrate I even posted a selfie of myself on Instagram! #todayifeelbeautiful

By the way…also got to show of my new gooooorgeous Kenzo pants! ❤️

Christmas glitter

I went to fix my nails the other day and because the days have been getting shorter and there’s a chill in the air I opted for a lush Opi Christmas color…oh and I also got matching pedicure!! The small blisses of life.

Finally my regular nail technician was also back from vacation so all is well in the world?! She’s really fantastic and does a lot of the sculpting by hand without any machine which really leaves the final result with a very natural look and not as thick as acrylics can generally get.

On the beauylist I also just heard from a friend that Hotel Diplomat in stockholm has opened a blow at…and as a surprise I’m heading over there soon. Naturally I’m already booked for a Friday afternoon appointment.

Couch shopping!

Last Friday I was entertaining myself with finally trying out the Outnet app. Designer shopping for less cash…does it get better thank that?!! The Outnet is the little sister of Net-a-porter. The service is excellent, delivery in two days even though they said 4-5 days delivery. The app is super easy to use and you don’t even have to register an account. Lastly of course they have free return, however I think my gorgeous pieces are staying with me! How do you like my new Current/Elliott studded jeans, Iris & Ink cropped cashmere sweater and a super easy to wear black Sandro cardigan! Bring on autumn wear!

I’ve decided a couple of months ago to return to caring for my nails. I’ve decided to turn to acrylics again, however not to lengthen my nails but rather strengthen. For some reason after many shots the Shellac really doesn’t agree with my nails and it ends up peeling off after a couple of days. I realize I’m probably the only one expediting this problem but shellac doesn’t work!! How are you liking my nail game though:-)? Today I went for both manicure and pedicure…and of course nothing but red red red nail varnish!

If you find yourself in Amsterdam I’d try Jellien Nailstudio, they’re super and definitely a bit more affordable than the general Swiss manicure!
