All this greatness.. Going crazy!
Has been some time since I updated my doings, will do better. It’s so rewarding just sharing thoughts. If you wonder what I have been up to I can tell you that besides prototyping I have been somewhat busy trying to locate the fabrics and producers I want to work with. I can tell you it’s a hustle going forward, not easy but fun. Even more fun when you actually find what you look for. If you read this and am interested to get whatever advice I can give, just shout out. Sharing is caring. I have gotten so much unexpected support during this journey so far and I will gladly give back what I can.
This post is for celebrating the fact that finally.. After two great days at Preview, a fair for fabric agents that took place some weeks ago, I have come one step closer to realizing the first collection. During the two days of the fair there was time to meet very nice people and fortunately also looking at thousands of samples of fantastic fabric.. and just today, after what seems like a lifetime of waiting, all the samples I ordered have finally arrived!
Now comes the delicate question of choosing. As some of you know, I am aiming at creating the perfect wardrobe enabling you to feel immaculate and comfortable so you can go search for what gives you gold in your heart, with as much ease as possible. I want you to be able to be able to just fill a handbag with great items and then be prepared for all you want to do, wherever you want to go; to the posh business meeting, to the cool club, rocking the office, feeling warm breeze at the relaxed beach-bar, prepared for the hot date, chillaxing in the sofa, having comfy dinner with friends, feeling great lounging at airports.. Wherever your heart desires to be, wherever you need to go, to go with ease. The best fabric, responding to the style and comfort I want to provide is without doubt silk. As the business will be a growing one, I aim at designing for both men and women but first out is the collection especially designed for all you gorgeous lady ”travelers”, travelers in life and of heart.
Next in line for me, is carefully choosing the the specific styles and fabrics I hope you will love, and make the existing prototypes come to live one after the other. I am aiming at that careless feminine and minimalistic style, for all lovely women to feel as great in as they are. Down some pics of some of the samples I received. It is a bit tricky to make the samples ”pop” with the help of only looking at it in a picture, since so much of the greatness of silk is in the feel and how it moves with your body but very nice to share some of the process with you anyhow, as it goes along.
