The great toilet seat discussion

  

Min man och jag battlar ganska ofta över toaletten. Inte så att det handlar om vem som behöver den bäst för stunden, vi har varsin, utan det handlar om locket. Jag tror att detta kanske utspelar sig i flera hem och stugor.

Jag är en advokat för sidan ”locket ska ner efter att man gjort sin business (innan man spolar också)” och Erik kör på 15-åringens ”men det spelar väl ingen roll om det är uppe, man måste ju lyfta på det igen när man kommer tillbaka”.

Märk att det inte handlar om ringen uppe eller nere utan om locket ska på. Alltså ingen fördel för någon utan, eh, snarare det omvända eftersom det blir ett moment till. Men visst ser det mycket trevligare ut att komma in på ett badrum där locket är nedfällt? Det känns liksom fräschare, eller hur?

Ja. Så jag tjatar och tjatar: ”Locket, älskling!” Och han: ”blabla jag hör ingenting”.

I advocate the ”lid down after you’ve done your business (even before the flushing)” side. And Erik is on the 15 year old’s ”but what does it matter that the lid is up, and then you have to put it back up when you come back”.

Note, this is not about the actual seat where up or down means advantage for anyone. More the opposite where it’s, eh, a disadvantage since it means another step in the routine. But don’t you think it looks better with the seat down and makes it feel nicer to enter a bathroom? It feels cleaner, don’t you think?

So I keep nagging and Erik is like ”bla bla can’t hear you”.
