A day of baking

//Above you see my first attempt on a chocolate meringue cake with passion fruit pannacotta and chantilly cream. One of the other teams from the course I went to a while back made it, and I had to try for myself. Mine turned out pretty OK, the flavors were there as they say on Masterchef, but I lacked the right gear. It’s actually quite a difference cooking in a restaurant kitchen. I missed all the cool special tools like molds in all kinds of shapes and restaurant ovens. Something completely different than your standard kitchen Bosch. And the guy who walked behind us clearing out the dishes. Would have liked to have him…

I’m most proud of having made the fruit purees for the pannacotta all by myself. At the course we worked with ready made ones. It turned out pretty tasty if I might say so myself.

Now, I’m going to spend the rest of my Sunday catching up on some work. I want to start the week on top because it’s a short week!//
