Check the looks of the new fresh WeSC AW15 collection by Natalia Altewai & Randa Saome.
For the Women’s collection Natalia Altewai & Randa Saome continue to focus on how women live today, and how they interpret and express themselves in the street. The Fall Winter 15 collection is mainly built on separates that allow for personal styling and individuality to shine through.
To highlight their Nordic origin and aesthetics with a new twist, they have used cooler gray colors with a mix of creamy white, navy, black and a contrast of muted olive green and beige. The Nordic heritage shines most strongly in the knitwear, where premium quality yarns are used in the typical Scandinavian pattern colors including navy, grey and soft reds.
The silhouette is mostly straight with slightly oversized fits allowing the female body to move and accentuating shape without being skintight. Jackets and tops have predominantly dropped shoulders and a softer box shape. Pants are tailored with a straight wide leg and skirts and dresses come in two lengths; mid-thigh and knee length, both with a slight A-line cut.
Choice of premium materials plays a large part in conveying a contemporary take on streetwear. Top wool qualities in jackets and coats allow for a simple cut to shine without overloading with prints or details. A classic parka is updated by combining the oversized boxy cut with a finer material such as Polysatin, giving it a slight luxe sheen. Natalia Altewai & Randa Saome have also used both structured and smooth jersey and fleece. Oversized crewnecks come in a soft, but voluminous fleece quality, giving a seemingly simple item a personality of it’s own.
The staple streetwear hoodie is given a more contemporary look with a light padding and oversized fit, turning it into a whole new type of hooded jacket. blouses and tops in medium heavy Viscose provide contrast, allowing for soft draping and layering.
The look book is shot by Andreas Kock and styled by Pamela Bellafesta.
